Hogsmeade breaks were a thankful break from the mayhem of Hogwarts lives, being that only third years and above could come here it meant it was a freedom from the annoying little kids that inhabited the castle and grounds. There was something she had already decided on after the birth of the first brother, thankfully deceased now... Mia knew full well she would never have children, having her own child would mean have a constant annoying fly under her feet at every move. How on earth did people cope with having children? Despite the fact it seemed hypocritical, what with the fact she had once been considered one of those bright eyed pests, Mia could not bear the thought of having something to care for, how long had that cat lasted back in first year? About three months before she lost it. Poor Ellie had probably been gobbled up by something, Erin most likely, that scummy Vampire had always been lurking around the forest. As she stepped into the Three Broomsticks, out of the way from the sun which beat down on her mercilessly. She ordered the usually chilled Butterbeer and found a table near the back in which to laze in till she was ready to go back to Hogwarts. Maybe she should pass the post office, send a letter to her mum. But then again, what was the point in paying money when she could just send her own Owl, Mars out and pay nothing. It wasn't like she had money at her dispense anymore. She had to save what was left of her Wizarding money until she had gotten herself a job. She looked up as a Hogwarts student entered; she was at least half pleased to see she wasn’t the only student in Hogsmead. It was still early and on a Saturday, not many people got up this early just to go to Hogsmeade. |

It was a boring Saturday morning for Mayumi. She had read all the books she brought to Hogwart and did not plan on reading them again. It was a hot summer's day, as well. She didn't want to remain all cooped up indoors. So she traveled to Hogsmeade. At first, Mayumi had planned to venture towards Honeydukes Sweetshop. Seeing how busy it was today, she decided to go the Three Broomsticks for a little non-alcoholic drink. She cupped her hands around her face, peeking into the store. To her suprise, there was another Hogwarts sudent in the shop. Good. I won't be alone. She thought. Mayumi entered the shop, nodding towards the other student, and went to order a drink. The girl to have entered was one that Mia recognised as a younger student but would not have been able to place a name to the girls face even had she wanted to. But as the other nodded in her direction, Mia rose one brow toward the girl, silently asking her why on earth she had even looked at her, let alone give her a look of recognition. It wouldn't really hurt to place nice once, it wasn't like she had someone else to be talking to anyway, so what would the harm be in talking to someone else for a bit. Someone she didn't know. This girl could be of great entertainment. Mia had never really taken that approach before but finally nodded back at the girl, a small smile on her lips as she raised her drink to her mouth and took a sip. If the girl came over to speak then Mia, for once would be polite, at least for a while... If the girl annoyed her then she could give up on that. |

After getting her drink, Mayumi ambled across the small room, towards the familiar looking girl. "Hi! I've seen you around school before. I just thought I'd say... hi?" Mayumi could tell by the girl's blank face that what she was saying was useless information. She groaned inside her head. Why in the world do you have to be so anoying, Mayumi? She asked herself. She caught herself before her mind could fly away into it's little world. She decided to break the silence. "I'm Mayumi, by the way. And you are?" Mayumi gave the girl a weak smile. How pityfull am I. |
