5,000 (we'll count backwards to make it easier to see how many more we need to get to our target)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is set to arrive in theaters November 21st, 2008!! Which gives us plenty of time to try and get 5K posts done. In the past, we have only been able to reach this goal once before. Let's see if we can make it twice.

In this thread, I thought we could take time to get to know each other better. Find out what basic things we each enjoy. However, please remember that this is the internet and that everyone has access to the information that you give out. So, please be safe - do not go into specifics about where you live or family information, etc. Other than that, Have fun with this and enjoy getting to know the other members of HK!

Wow! Well, we ought to be able to make that goal, no?

Um, let's see ... what can I tell you about myself besides that I like Harry Potter? I like to make jewelry!

So, there's 4 posts down and only a whole lot more to go! C'mon people ... let's get chatting and see who gets the last post this time around!

Nice bracelet Isa.

It appears as though I'm the only one not to have been present for the last one of these.

Hmm... some information about me... well, I suppose that on here you can just call me by my charrie's name for now (Wren.) I'm 20, live on the California coast in a run down apartment with my boyfriend. I just finished finals for this semester at the local community college. Yea... feel free to ask me anything (within reason)!

Isabel: that is crazy good. I got into jewelry making a few years back, but I never became that skeeled before I stopped.

Nope, you're not the only one who wasn't around for this.

Hm, I never made jewelry, but I love that bracelet. It's beautiful! Do you sell them?

Once I get a job, I'm going to start buying Froot Of The Loom plain black or white shirts. Or whatever color. They're cheap. You have to SWEAR to me that you won't do this, too. I'm going into the T-Shirt making business:

So, I have these kits you can buy for, like, $8 that tells you how you can use it to put images on clothing. Well, what you do is you take an image you want off of the internet, print it out the size you want it, take one of the sheets of paper from the kit and put it on top of the printed picture. Once you do that, trace the image and cut it out of the kit paper. Afterwards, you get an ironing board, an iron, and a shirt. Iron it on wherever you want.

You can do that with words, pictures, anything. And the reason why this will be so easy for me is because the kits are, like I said, like $8. Well, the shirts are like 3 for $5. 8+5= 13. Well, the kits had a LOT of paper in it, so really you buy one kit per 10/15 shirts you're making, and the rest of the time you're just paying like five dollars. So, pay that and sell for $10, or have a deal for your customers and they can get two for $15 or something. Well, this whole time you'll be making a lot more than you're spending.

I got the idea because Thad has this Fruit Of The Loom shirt where it was decorated by him. He did it perfectly. When he told me how he did it, I didn't believe him at first because it looks so good. But, he did. Lol. The reason why I decided to make it into an off-the-side job, like almost a hobby, is because I'm making a Mindless Self Indulgence shirt sometime for myself. Btw, yes I know that I can't just put the band's or artist's name on the shirt, so instead I take an image of them and maybe put one of their quotes. This way it's legal.

Now, as for what I really want to do in life:

I want to become a vocal musician, but that's never going to happen. So, I'm going to become a veterinarian.

The things I like to do:

This, read, and play World of Warcraft (WoW).

That's about it, lol.

Lol, I would show you the one Thad made, but it's a bit... Racist. x.x;;

He's not racist, but he made the shirt to make some people angry. It doesn't have a swastica or "anti-black", or anything like that on it. It just has a bunch of "white power" junk on it. It looks good, though.

Nah, just to clear it up, he's not like that. He's just really good at making people angry. XD

As for selling the shirts, I'm going to open up a stall at a flea market or something. I want to be inside with walls around me, but it will cost more and I want to see how well I do at a stall first. But, really, before I even do that, I'll be making them and attempting to sell them on eBay.

It's that time of the month and it hurts, hurts worse then usual. Then with this stinking video game. I'm not a happy person. I'm the person people run and hide from. :P

Isa, doll face!!! If people don't buy your jewerly they have no taste and they stink. (wanted you use another word, but I have to keep it PG or at least PG-13)

Kirsten: You should do just fine. Target teens and lil children at first before trying for an older crowd. You've the price worked out perfect. You'll do fine also. Confindence is the key. You can sell anything out there as long s you have that. KK

I almost mis-counted that one. Lol. And yeah, I'll take a picture with my digital camera and upload it on here. I may as well do that with the one he made sometime, just to show it. I just need to wash the shirt and dry it before I do it. It's in the dirty clothes right now.

=D Btw, I understand the period thing. I just got off of mine, like, last week. I hate it. Especially when I don't have my birthcontrol, because of fibrocystic breast tissue, causing my chest to hurt pretty badly. Mom will be dropping it off over here for me today, after she gets off of work, though.

And hello there, Brodi!

What DVD? o.o

Omg, did you hear what the newsreporters were saying about Harry Potter?

Every once in a while, I'll turn the TV to MSNBC. Well, these "Super Christians" are running around saying that the new movie, The Golden Compass, is an antichrist supporting movie. So, I'm sitting here, like, "What the Hell?" They're trying to say that the main city in the movie, which are trying to keep the citizens of it hidden, are like the Catholics? And then, they're saying that the team that's on "God's side," the followers are turned demonic. THEY'RE F'ING POLAR BEARS. POOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR BEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARS. PoLaR F'iNg BeArS. Not demons, nature's babies. -.- Idiots.

Well, the thing is, the other side is obviously the evil side, right? Omg... So of course the one with the bears is the good side. NOT GOD'S ARMY, THE GOOD GUYS. SOMEONE HAS TO FIGHT THE EVIL. IT IS NOT CHRISTIAN BASED.

Then MSNBC went on to talk about how the "Super Christians" (Yes, that's what I'm calling them.) are saying that they're tired of all of these antichrist movies and blah blah blah... Like Harry Potter. And I'm thinking, "Okay, you bunch of hyppocrites. Thou shalt not judge. And Christians aren't supposed to try and force people into their religion." NO ONE WANTS TO WATCH "The Passion" EVERY SINGLE DAY. -.-;;

I hate imbeciles. Like, Thad's family won't let his youngest cousin read Harry Potter. His aunt Lucinda is an idiot and thinks that it's evil or something. Did you know that the "Super Christians" made it out like it was Christian based, as well? Saying Dumbledore, who died, was God and Lord Voldemort was Satan? Here's the deal, retards:

Dumbledore was a school principal, I doubt God worked in a school. And just because Voldemort can speak to serpants doesn't mean he's Satan.

Which brings up my anger over people who say crap about snakes. I have a pet snake... I love snakes. They've done nothing wrong. Thad's mom threatens to kill it every time she gets mad at him. IT'S MY FREAKING SNAKE, NOT HIS B--CH... Yeah... I hate her.

Why can't I get along with pregnant women? I don't know, it's just her.

But, blah... Humans are idiots.

=( I'm hungry. Feed me, someone with their awesome cooking skills. =D

Kirsten....Good golly...BREATH!!!!!!!!!!

People talk crap about things they fear. That will never change and none of us can cahnge it. The more the talk the more young people want to see it.
So as long as we have ignorant people willing to run their mouths, Harry Potter, LOTR, the Golden Compass and anything dealing with fanasty, witch craft will be bigger then they are. Will always be number one because all their doing is driving us to be fans.
And your right for people who shouldn't judge they do a lot of it. Look it a mirror before you open your mouth. Your not perfect and neither is this world, but we need something in our lifes to make it worth wild.
They don't seem to notice what books like HP has done for millions of kids, teens and adults. It's brought families together, generations gaps have bonded and people with reading problems (such as myself) have improved.
So don't stress what they say, it's not worth it. I pay no mind to waht others say. I read, eat, dress and do as what pleases me, if no one likes it. They all kiss my butt. It's what makes me happy.
Stay true to HP and let the ones who fear it talk smack. We know the truth, let them live in the bubbles.

The DVD to HP5 came out yesterday and I can't wait for Saturday so I can sit and watch it with my mom (this what I mean about bring fams togther). YEAH!!!

I got the dvd Target was selling. It has a 3D cover (thats the deluxe copy) and it comes with a bonus dvd. It's so cool. When you move the cover back and forth, one side is orange and has the 6 and when you shift some the other side is the DE and Voldermort in purple. It's so awesome looking.
I was playing with it all nite. I know I need to grow up. NOT!!!!

Lol, you're absolutely right. Actually, if it wasn't for Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkeban (Yeah, I probably mispelled it.), I wouldn't be such a great reader as I am, now. See, in the fifth grade, I had no friends because I switched to a city school that was nothing but rich fifth graders. I hated everyone, and they picked on me for liking Pokemon. Which was really stupid because we're, like, what...? Ten years old? I was, anyway. And at that age it's just fine to like Pokemon.

Anyway, at that school they had a decent library. I never read a Harry Potter book, and at the time I was reading Artemis Fowl stuff. Well, when I saw book three, which I never had read the first two, I read it and fell in love with it. My mother bought me book one and two so I can read them. Then, when book four came out, my little brother had it but wouldn't let me read it, it was a library book, and so Mom bought me my own. When book five came out, she bought it. When book six came out, Thad bought it for me and I read it as well. Now, I need book seven. The only reason I haven't gotten it was because the book store in the mall wants $70 for it, because they don't have paperback. I think Mom is going to buy me it from Wal*Mart, or something.

See, if I had never started reading Harry Potter, I would have never been as intellectual as I am right now. I know that I say "like" a lot, and stuff, and I like childish things. But, for the average teenage girl, I'm a lot more intellegent than the majority of the girls in Northern America. Did you know that on America's Next Top Model most of those girls could barely read and pronounce words I know with ease? What the crap?!?! Yeah, I watch that show... And I laughed. Lol. I used to want to be a model, still sort of do, but I'll never be skinny enough. I'm average build, but I weigh 160 lbs. Most of it is muscle and boobs. No joke. If I could I'd give you my MySpace page.

Anyway, like I said, reading helped me a lot. The book I just finished is called Shadow Of The Wind. I never even heard of it, but I was at the book store and wanted a new book. You should read it. The author is Carlos Ruiz Zafon. It's sooo good!!! Even Stephen King loves it, and I read all of his books as well.

Brodi, I'll read it right now. =) Maybe I'll even put up a drawing or two, though I don't have a scanner. Luckily, my digital camera has zoom. Lol!

Mia, oh Gosh, I did the same thing. I was too little to realize that the number on the side wasn't a rating, that it was part of a series.

Hmm...Seven more days until Christmas Evening. Five more days until I open presents. Who here is jealous?! Lol. I want this 25th anneversary Care Bear bad... And look at how old I am. XD!! I got a new hat two days ago, btw. It looks good, considering the fact that I can only wear it when I straighten my hair, and when I do straighten it it poofs out a little...

I miss my old hat. I had this stretchy $20 (Actually, it was $30-$40, but the guy at the store likes me and took it down a couple tens or twenties.) Disturbed hat. Let me look up a picture on the internet to see if there's any I can show you that are just like it...

Posted Image

Yeah...That looks just like my old hat. I found the image on eBay. I think I'm about to buy it. It's only $13 on eBay... Here's the hat I just got, though:
